How to create your wedding photography shot list

So the big question on everyone's silver-plated wedding planning tray is, "how do I design a smooth-running, eye-pop-worthy shot list for my wedding?" Well, darlings, you're in for a treat! Here at Febus Films, we sincerely believe that a great shot list, like a good vanilla souffle, can't be hurried. So, get cozy, and let the pros tell you how it's done.

First off, understand this. Most photographers, including us, have a mental shot list of what we usually do at every wedding. No, we don't need you to pen down a shot of you 'getting ready' or whirling your first dance as a married couple, unless of course, your first dance happens to be on a helicopter. In which case, my dears, we insist you jot that down.

However, what would be extraordinarily helpful is a list of family members or special guests you definitely want in your pictures with you. Trust us, dear ones, nothing is worse than missing a shot with dear Aunt Edna who flew all the way from Quebec just for your wedding day. It helps greatly to have someone on both sides of the family who can herd the cats, so to speak, and help us with names.

"In photography, there is a reality so subtle that it becomes more real than reality." - Alfred Stieglitz
